Each route has its strengths. The myXL app shows every package option and often offers special prices. The Xtra Combo Plus page even says "Dapatkan harga spesial di myXL", meaning get a special price in myXL. The *808# code is useful when your quota has run out and the app will not load. XL Store is the official shop for buying through the website.
There is also an indirect route: buy credit at a phone shop, a minimarket, or a digital store, then use that credit to buy the package yourself. Some packages are in fact sold at credit shops. The Bebas Puas terms, for example, say the package is only available in the myXL app or at credit shops. What you should avoid is any seller who asks for your myXL OTP code.
How to Buy an XL Package in the myXL App
The myXL app is the most complete route, because XL puts package purchases, quota checks, and various payments in one app. The Packages and Add-ons page calls myXL one app for everything, from buying packages to sharing credit.
The general steps:
- Install the myXL app from the official app store.

Every Flexmax package also includes call minutes to all operators equal to the price in thousands, such as 37 minutes for the Rp37,000 package, plus unlimited calls to XL, AXIS, and SMARTFREN. The Flexmax 52GB and 80GB packages offer a Vidio Platinum bonus option. We left area quota out of the price per GB calculation because it only works in certain areas.
Choosing the Cheapest XL Package for Your Usage
Three patterns stand out in the table. First, small packages are always the most expensive per GB. Flexmax 7GB costs Rp5,286 per GB, more than five times the Rp1,000 per GB of Flexmax 150GB.
Second, a short validity period is not always more expensive. Flexmini 125GB for 14 days works out to just Rp800 per GB, cheaper per GB than any Flexmax package. Flexmini 75GB for 14 days at Rp75,000 gives almost the same quota as Flexmax 80GB at Rp125,000, only with half the validity. If you can use a large quota within two weeks, for example for streaming or downloading games, Flexmini can be much cheaper.
Third, a higher price does not always mean proportionally more quota. Flexmax 52GB at Rp100,000 is actually more expensive per GB than Flexmax 50GB at Rp90,000, because the extra Rp10,000 pays for area quota and a Vidio Platinum bonus, not main quota. If you do not use Vidio and rarely spend time in area quota zones, the 50GB package makes more sense.
A practical way to use this: look at your quota use over the past month in myXL. If it is under 10GB, a small package is safer even though it costs more per GB, because quota that expires is money lost too. If it is over 40GB, a large package almost always wins.
Xtra Combo VIP Plus for an All-in-One Package
If you want one package that covers large quota, calls, and app bonuses for 30 days, XL offers Xtra Combo Plus. Its official page says the package has non-expiring main quota, call minutes to all operators, and app quota bonuses.

All variants last 30 days and include 100MB per day of productivity quota. The page also mentions area quota that can vary by location. Compared with Flexmax, the price per GB of main quota on Xtra Combo VIP Plus is higher, for example Rp7,300 per GB for the 10GB variant. The difference pays for non-expiring quota, app bonuses, and quota accumulation when the package renews. So choose this package if you actually use those features.
Quota Accumulation Rules to Know Before You Buy Again
This part is often skipped, yet it decides whether your leftover quota survives. According to the Flexmax terms and conditions, the package lasts 28 days and renews automatically. If you activate more than one Flexmax package, the main quota accumulates and the validity follows the longest one.
There is an important exception. If you already had an Xtra Combo Flex or Flexmax package and buy Flexmax again, your old main quota remains usable only if the new package costs the same or more. If the new package is cheaper, the old quota is replaced by the new package. In other words, buying a small package to patch your quota can actually wipe out a large remaining balance.
Flexmini has similar rules. It comes in 1, 3, 7, and 14-day validity periods and does not renew automatically. If you buy the same or a bigger variant, your leftover main quota accumulates, but leftover area quota is lost. If the new variant is smaller, both the old main quota and area quota are replaced.
For the Bebas Puas package, the terms say leftover daily quota carries over to the next day if renewal succeeds, but is deleted if the package stops because renewal failed. So keep enough credit on your number if you use a package with automatic renewal.
If You Bought a Package but the Quota Has Not Arrived

- Make sure your balance or credit was deducted and the purchase succeeded.
- Make sure you received the SMS notification that the package is active.
- Check your internet package quota again in the myXL app.
